Want to explore the area? Renting a car is the best thing to do. From Málaga airport it will take you about half an hour to reach our finca. From the station of Álora, it is about 10 minutes. From here you can also take a train directly to Málaga

Álora

Nestled in between three large rocks, and crowned by the ruins of the Moorish castle, with a beautiful view over the valley of the Guadalhorce. This ”pueblo blanco” with its Andalusian appearance, steep Streets and known for its friendly, hospitable locals, is definitely worthwhile visiting. There is Always some celebrations or another, here and in the area. In Alora you will also find the second eldest church in Spain, the Iglesia de la Encarnación.

Caminito del Rey, El Chorro

At a 20 minutes drive from our B&B, you find the ”El Chorro” mountain range with the world famous ”El Caminito del Rey”. A spectacular hike in the middle of this nature phenomenon between gorges and above lakes.

Ardales

A beautiful area for walking, enjoying nature, taking a dip in one of the clear lakes, canoeing, paddle boating or simply relaxing in the sun, enjoying the view during a picnic.

Antequera

A prehistoric city. With its many historical sights, a ”must see” for a culture and history lover. The rich history, which still gives this city a mediëval appearance, provides you with countless churches, walls and towers. Stroll around, eat tapas and explore lots of other things this area has to offer.

El Torcal, natural park of Antequera

Walk endlessly and enjoy this remarkable and piece of nature. Huge chunks of limestone with most bizarre shapes, trough countless millennia. Besides that, it is also a paradise for biologists, with the numerous flowers growing here, and ibexes to be spotted on the rocks.

Ronda

A visit to this city with its beautiful location and various sights is highly recommended! The Tajo de Ronda canyon divides the city into 2 parts: the Mercadillo at the one side, and the old city, La Ciudad, at the other. Across the gorge are the 3 bridges, the Puente de Nuevo, the Puente Romano (Árabe) and the Puente Viejo. Tip: jeep excursion in and around the beautiful nature of the Serrania de Ronda and Sierra de Grazalema.

GOLDEN CITIES TRIANGLE

Alora is a perfect base for exploring different places and discovering beautiful nature.

The village is right in the middle of what is called the ”golden city triangle”: Cordoba, Granada and Sevilla.
